HAIR CARE ROUTINE =)
So the reason for blogging today is because I'm just plain bored, loafing around at home, didn't go out cause pay's not in yet (shit!)
But ohwells, i thought I might just share my haircare routine that I've been practicing for the past few weeks.
For the past few years, I have NEVER sticked on to the same shampoo/conditioner for more than a month. I'll ALWAYS switch to other brands once I've finished using the current one. I have never cared about how good or bad it'll make my hair be. Until recently, I've noticed that my hair kept falling. I don't wanna be botak!! Yikes! So, I've decided to stick to just one brand (for now at least) or until I think that this particular brand doesn't work for me.
VIDAL SASSOON!!!
I fell in love with the scent and I bought the whole range of products which I think are necessary for my needs.
This is the Shampoo...
And the Conditioner. Conditioner is a must! i can't emphasise this any further.
Some people say that it's bad to wash your hair everyday. But seriously?? How can someone stand the smell of their smelly & oily scalp if they don't wash their hair everyday??? I've tried doing it a few times, but I seriously cannot tahan at how oily my hair and scalp are. Unless if they use dry shampoo. K, that can be forgiven.
So, usually on weekdays, I'll wash my hair in the evening while taking a shower after returning home from work.
I don't really wash my hair on weekday mornings because....
1) I HATE to go out with my hair all wet.
2) Blow-drying your hair every morning is just too much hassle
3) Using hair dryer everyday is BAAADDDDDD!!
4) Washing your hair twice a day is just too much.
Do i need to explain further? I don't think so.
But on weekends, i do wash my hair in the morning. Not only that, I'll make an effort to apply hair mask as well. =) And i do this twice a week, mostly on weekends.
VS Intensive Hair Mask

This is the hair mask that I got last week, and i've already used it 4 times. Love the scent so much! On the tub itself, it provided with directions on how you can use this mask.
" After shampoo and conditioner, spread onto wet hair after lightly squeezing out excess water. Massage product onto your hair , down to the hair tips. "
As soon i read that, i went... 'HUH???'
I really think the directions provided was left hanging. So.....what do i do after that?
Because as you can see, the product is in the same consistency as a conditioner. How can i just leave it on my hair without rinsing it off?
So i just came out with my own method.
1) Section your hair (ensure that it's dry) & apply product onto your hair. Use as much product as you think your hair requires. As for me, i apply a moderate amount to my roots, and a generous amount from the midsection onwards and down to the ends of the hair.
2) Leave it on for the next 30 - 40 minutes.
3) Rinse it off.
VS Premium Base Care

Honestly, when i bought this, i had no idea what it's used for. Again, they gave the exact same directions as the hair mask. -______-
Of course, me being me, I came up with my own method. hahaha
(continuation from above...)
5) After that, squeeze out the excess water from your hair. Squeeze out an appropriate amount of the Premium Base Care and apply it from midsection onwards, down to the ends of your hair.
7) Leave it on for 5-10 mins and rinse it off.
Trust me, it works perfectly fine. I've tried the directions they've provided and it's a total FAILURE!!
Sheseido Hair Serum

Once your hair is semi-dry, apply serum to the ends of your hair. i REALLY love this thing alot! It makes my hair feels even smoother & more manageable. You can try finding it at any salons that sells Sheseido products.
Liese Iron Make Control (Rich Curl)

As many people know, I've had my hair rebonded for the 37845258238947255173049264th time! Seriously, I've lost count. So sometimes having straight hair can be a little boring & I'll try to spice it up by adding a little bit of volume to my hair. I'll normally use a hair straightener to create loose curls but before that, I'll spray this (focus at the ends of the hair) first. The curls does not only stay, but your hair will be protected against the heating tools too!
I feel so good to be sharing some of my tricks and techniques here. Maybe I'll do something else soon. errrmmm.. maybe foundation routine? heheheh!
