PRODUCT REVIEW: O2 SYMPHONY EYESHADOW

As promised, i'm here to review on these eyeshadow. I've already tried using these eyeshadows a few times and i realised that most of the colours are ideal for night use.

Our dearest Tammy picked out 6 beautiful shades for me and i love each and every one of them. These eyeshadows doesn't come with names, but instead, in colour codes. So i'll just randomly pick out a name that first come into my mind to best describe the colours of all of the eyeshadows.

Let's first talk about the packaging of these products. As you can see, it comes in a circular packaging which is rather flat & sleek. This makes storage very easy. The size itself is slightly smaller than the size of my palm and considering the price, you can actually get quite a lot of products from each of the single eyeshadows. Simply open up the lid to use it, and close it back once you're done with it. The pretty silverish designs on the sides helps to beautify the appearance of the packaging.

Here are the images of the 6 shades eyeshadows. Left: without flash. Right: with flash.
Notice the designs that are embossed in the eyeshadow. So pretty!

Pearly Pink (MJ0103)

Champagne (MJ0167)

Silverish Grey (MJ0138)

Lavender (MJ0165)

Olive Gold (MJ0106)

Coppery Brown (MJ0101)

Here, I've already made some swatches of the 6 shades. Overall, i really think that the colours are very pigmented and intense. (I use very little pressure to get the products to my fingers) Majority of the colours are quite frosty as well, and so it's very suitable for night use.

I really love the colours Coppery Brown, Olive Gold & Lavender. These colours can be used on your lids on its own. But do remember to use a proper blending technique so that no harsh lines can be seen.

Silverish Grey and Pearly Pink can also be used on the lids but as for me, I'd rather use these colours for my crease to blend out darker eyeshadow colours.

Champagne can be a very good highlight colour on your brow bone, as well as the inner corners of your eyes since the it is pretty matte.

So this has been my review. All in all, I'll give these eyeshadows 8.5 out of 10. Do try and get these eyeshadows if you're interested. =)

MAKEUP HAUL - elf, MAC, NYX, Stage, O2 Skin

I haven't been buying any makeup products for monthssss and so i've decided to splurge just on makeup this May. so, here are the items that i picked out.

elf 11-piece brush collection (studio line)
I've been meaning to get more of the elf's brushes from their studio line ever since i got their complexion and powder brushes because i LOVE them sooo much! I stumbled upon this brush set and obviously! I had to get them!

That's how it looks when it's opened.

1) Complexion Brush - Sweeps all types of powders (pressed, loose, translucent, blush, bronzer) across the entire face. As for me, i use it to dust pressed powder all over my face.
2) Powder Brush - Use for powder or blush/bronzer for perfect contouring.
3) Blush Brush - For blush or bronzer. The design of the brush allows easy maneuvering and precise colour application. This will soon be my favourite blush brush. <3

4) Fan Brush - Blends or dusts away makeup mistakes or eyeshadow fallouts.
5) Angled Foundation Brush - Use to apply foundation or other liquid products evenly across the face & it creates flawless coverage.
6) Eyeshadow "C" Brush - Use with any powder eyeshadow to create the perfect smokey-effect and perfect for colour blending.
7) Concealer Brush - Use with any cream products (concealer, foundation, primer, eye cream, cream shadow) & it enables to blend products smoothly and evenly to eyes, face and blemishes.

8) Contour Brush - Can be used to contour the crease area, close to the lash line, as well as outer corner of the eyes.
9) Angled Brush - Creates thin, even, straight lines with gel-liners. Can also be used with eyeshadows to fill-in the eyebrows.
10) Small Precision Brush - Applies colour evenly for small targeted areas like the inner corners of the eyes.
11) Small Smudge Brush - Great for blending eyeliner and eyeshadow to create a smokey look.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC 37)

Finally i'm owning products from MAC. I've decided to invest on a good foundation, and of course, to find the shade that suits my skin tone. and TaaaDaaaaa! MAC's studio fix fluid in NC 37. The shade looks a little dark, maybe due to the lighting. But it suits my skin perfectly well.

MAC Sheer Pressed Powder (NC40)

I use this to set my foundation. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. I had to take NC40 because they don't have it in NC37. Bummer! Since NC35 is wayyy to light for my skin i had to take a slightly darker tone. -_-

MAC SheerTone Blush (Breath Of Plum)
One of the colours that attracted me. Gonna get more colours prolly next month! =)

NYX Nude on Nude - Natural Look Kit
I love all my browns a lot. But usually i always like to keep in natural on the lids. This palette is good for an everyday neutral look. In addition, it also comes with darker shades, suitable for the smokey effect and not forgetting, the 2 lip colours as well.

NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer (anti-redness)
I've been looking for a face primer and at the same time something that can tone down the redness on my face and i came upon this product. I've been using it eversince i got i. It really helps my makeup to stay throughout the day, without any touchups. The green looks very intimidating right? But not to worry, i don't look like Shrek or Fiona after applying it. The product blends in with the skin very well and the redness on the face will reduce.

NYX Foundation Brush
I got this brush just for the sake of having a foundation brush and also to add on to my brush collection.

NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil (Brown Black, Brown)
Got these two eyeliners in two different shades. It glides very smoothly on the lashline but the downside is that, it tends to smudge a little, so get your eye primers ready girls!

NYX Concealer in a Jar (Green, Glow)
Like i already said, i have some redness on my face. so i'll use the green concealer to tone it down and man,i am really impressed! this thing here works really really well!
On the other hand, the concealer (Glow) is a little too dark for me. =(

Stage Lip Liner (02 Spice Seduction)
My second lip liner so far. i don't wanna take the risk of buying a lot of lipliners after getting my very first one, which was a major failure. But this one, on the other hand is a natural nude colour and it turns out ok.

Stage Concealer (07 Ginger)
Who wouldn't wanna get a concealer for just friggin $4.50????? and plus, the shade is the ideal shade for my skintone! but sad to say, i really really hate the scent so much. but it's ok, it's too cheap for me to hate and complain about. Besides, it's actually one of my best buys for that day.

O2 Skin Symphony Eyeshadows
Our dear Tammy got these lovely eyeshadows for me! and they're sooo sooo cheap!! it's 90cents per box and i got all 6 colours for just 5bucks!! really awesome deal! the colours are very intense and pigmented.

I shall do a review on these eyeshadows for my next post! till then, take care guys! =)

FAVOURITES OF THE MONTH - APRIL

The first post of favourites of the month! Most of the things featured would be on makeup & skin products. So here goes...

Maybelline Clear smooth minerals BB Cream SPF 26, Loreal True Match Foundation SPF 17 (N7), Revlon PhotoReady Foundation SPF 20 (008 Golden Beige)
Here are my favourite foundations for the month of April. I've been using these products very regularly, almost every single time i apply makeup.

I ALWAYS have troubles selecting the perfect shade of foundation for my skin and i can never find the correct one. Since the BB Cream is wayyy too light for me, and the Loreal foundation is wayyy to dark for me, what i usually do is that, i'll mix both of them together, half & half and i'll get the ideal shade (i think). I really like the full coverage that the Loreal foundation provides & it enables me to have my makeup last almost the whole day.

For days that i prefer to have lighter coverage, I'll use the Revlon PhotoReady foundation.

Make Up Shop loose powder, Revlon PhotoReady compact powder, ELF Powder Brush
I don't like applying foundation on its own simply because i have oily skin and so, i hate to have my face looking greasy and shiny. So normally, i'll use a setting powder to set the foundation. When i use the Loreal Foundation+BB Cream, I'll set them with Make Up Shop's loose powder (from SASA). I really like how light-weight the powder feels on my skin & it does not make my makeup looks cakey.

On days that i use my Revlon PhotoReady foundation, I'll use the Revlon PhotoReady compact to set it. i really like this one as well. Sadly, they don't sell it in any drugstores in Singapore. I got mine from the duty-free shop at the airport. So yeah..

I'll always apply these powders using the ELF Powder Brush from their Studio line. REALLY LOVE how soft the brush is, even though they have synthetic bristles. And again, sadly, they don't sell it anywhere in Singapore. I got mine from a blog shop.

NYX Mosaic Powder (06 Rosey), ELF Complexion Brush
NYX's Mosaic Powder is actually a blusher that i use every single day. Love the pinkish tone to it. It's not THAT pigmented and that's the reason why i like it. I don't like my blusher to be too pigmented. I'm afraid that i might just over-do it and I might end up looking like an Opera singer. It makes my cheeks look dewy since there's a slight shimmer to it. Got that blusher by coincidence when i was at the flea at Scape, few weeks ago. I'm gonna go and get some other shades really soon!

The brush that i use to apply my blusher is the ELF's Complexion Brush. This brush too, I got it from the same blog shop that i got my other brush from. Very soft, picks up products really well, and Love it!

Perfect Automatic Liner by Majolica Majorca, Maybelline's Magnum Volum' Express
I am not really a fan of liquid liner because i think they're really hard to apply and the edges are just too bold & harsh. I've been using a dark brown pencil liner until i got this one. It was given by my cousin (thanks kak!) and guess what?? i fell in love with it! Application is sooo easy and i can even achieve a thin eyeliner. What makes it even better is that, it's waterproof and i can apply it on it's own even without being accompanied by my Urban Decay Primer Potion. It does not smudge and check this out, it's sooo easy to remove as well!

I can swear that mascaras by Maybelline are the best! Honestly, i've never tried any mascaras by any other brands before. Eversince I've started applying makeup, Maybelline's mascaras have always been my best friend. This mascara that i really like, it's actually my third purchase. That's how much i love it. I love the huge brush alot and i like how it lengthens and volumise my lashes, making eyes look much more awake!

Vaseline's Lip Therapy in Cherry, Etude House's Lipstain, Victoria Secret's Beauty Rush Lipgloss
I do not have chapped lips (thank god!!) but i just enjoy applying chap-sticks/lipbalm to moisturise my lips. So, Vaseline's lip therapy in Cherry is my favourite for now. love the Cherry taste la! so nice.

I have this love-hate relationship with lipsticks and lipglosses. i love the colours but i just hate how they leave this white stain on my lips after it has dried-up. It looks soooo disgusting. so i got a lipstain from Etude House few weeks ago and i love it! so far, i have not experienced the problems that i have with lipsticks/lipglosses. Yey! and moreover, i need very very little product to stain my lips. i think that tube can last me ermmm....2 years? haha!

Since the lipstain is pretty matte, i always like to apply a colour-less gloss over it to have that glossy effect and plus, the one by Victoria Secret tastes yummmeh!!

Vaseline Healthy White Lotion
I only use this product on my arms to keep it moisturized and for sunscreen purpose. I am already dark (all thanks to myself for being too sporty back in school) so i apply this to prevent my skin from further darkening. I like how soft my skin feels after applying them and love the scent as well.

Body Shop Body Butter in Papaya & Blueberry
The bodybutter from the bodyshop normally costs $29.90 each but the other time, i got both of these for 15bucks each with minimum spending of 30bucks. They're limited edition so probably you wouldn't be able to find them anymore in any outlets.

The Papaya one is meant for normal skin and i usually apply this on my legs in the morning after my shower.I don't like it if my legs feel too greasy in the day because the feeling is just so disgusting. So this one is quite ideal since the moisturizing power isn't that great. Suitable for day-use. and it smells awesome!

The Blueberry one is meant for dry skin and it's much more moisturizing. I only apply this at night before going to bed and i like how soft my legs are in the morning when i get out of bed.

Body Shop Facial Buffer
i just can't describe how much i love this thing here. It's really great at keeping my skin fully-cleansed and how soft my face feels after every use. I do not have any blackheads after using this. I simply use this with my daily cleanser everyday (only once a day, usually in the evening) when i wash my face. Awesome product.

Rexona Shower Clean roll-on, Rexona shower-clean bodyspray
I am very very very very particular about body odours. Sorry to say this, but i simply can't take it if someone has B.O. Therefore,i apply deodorant EVERYDAY sometimes even 3-4 times a day. LOL!!! Can't live without these things. It has a very fresh after-shower scent to it.

Therefore, to those who do not practice putting deodorant on, please do so, before other people judge you. Haha! It keeps you smelling fresh and prevents you from having bodyodours, please trust me on this one.

HAUL - LANEIGE, APPARELS, SHOES

Hey guys! I'm back! It's gonna be another haul post again because i did some shopping on Saturday. =)

I can't seem to get enough of Laneige products so i went back to the counter at Takashimaya and bought a few more stuff. I can get really crazy just by looking at all the products and I'm so tempted to get every single one of them. Haha!

Laneige Lip & Eye Cleanser (Waterproof)
So the first thing that i got is the Lip & Eye Cleanser (Waterproof). This is a makeup remover that allow users to remove waterproof makeup for eyes and lips. But as for me, i use it for my face as well. I don't really care actually. So far, i've already tried using it once and i like it because it removes every single trace of makeup on my face easily. It also has a mild flowery scent to it which is nice.

Laneige White Plus Renew Essence
This product is meant for whitening and brightening, especially for areas on the face which have ance marks or freckles. I realised that the skin on my face has been rather dull and dead lately. So i purchased this product with the hope of brightening it up. Hope it works well.

Laneige White Plus Renew Eye Protector
I am totally obsessed with eye creams. i just can't afford to have dark eye circles around my eyes.Worse still, to have eyebags! Nooooo!! I just have to get this product to add on to the collection of eye creams that i have at home. I just make it a point to apply eye cream every single day, day&night. I don't rub my eyes, and when applying concealer, i will just dab my finger instead of rubbing them. This is because the skin around our eyes are very delicate and rubbing them will only cause wrinkles and fine lines. I will also try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep everyday.

Freebies!!
Well, i was entitled to get all of this products (sample sizes) for free. Simply because i have purchased at least 150bucks worth of Laneige products in a single receipt. I shall just keep that aside and use them for travelling.

Freebies Again!!
Haha! did i mention that i love Korean products?? yes, it's partly because of the freebies or samples that they generously give away. =)))

Right now, I'm eyeing on another two more products. HehHeh! But it's okay, those products can wait till mid of the month!

So,here is my collection of Laneige products,by far & I use them every single day.

Moving on.... apparels! This will the first time i'm blogging about clothes. Well, i do not have the best fashion sense in the entire world. But what I've purchased are basically what i like. I just don't get how some people look down or talk bad about other people's fashion sense. I mean, c'mon guys, what makes you think that other people don't judge you? And what makes you think that your fashion sense is sooo good? Well, we just have to respect each other's preferences and just keep our comments to ourselves. =))

Apparels
Top row: Dresses
Middle row: Blouses
Bottom row: Casual t-shirts and tank tops

Top row: Dresses
Bottom row: Pants & Flare Skirt

Jumpsuits & Long Dress

Forever 21 Flip-flops
I mentioned on my previous post that i'm gonna get another pair and i did! =) The colour is not my kind of colour but since that's the last pair for my size, i just bought it anyway.

Black Wedge
I've been searching for a pair of black wedges & trust me, it's really hard to find a pretty one. I saw one from New Look and it costs 70bucks. Well, I'm not planning to pay such amount on a pair of wedges from NewLook cos it's not worth it. So, i got this one and i'm lovin' it!

Red Wedge
So i got another pair of wedges and it's RED baby! I LOVE WEDGES!!! They allow to accentuate your height and at the same time, they're just sooo comfortable.

I've already taken the pictures for my next blog post. But that post can wait till another day. Just so you know, it's gonna be Favourites of the month (April) post. =)

Have a great day tomorrow guys! I know it sucks to get back to school/work. But think of it positively, it's only gonna be a short week, and another long weekend ahead!! Woooohoooo!!
